Shine a light in the dark - violets in folklore are traditionally associated with life and fertility as well as death and remembrance, and this is why creator Heidi Phillips chose the title as when she was creating the original black and white Black Violet deck, she had just become a mother and lost her own mother to cancer - a bitter sweet time.

The cathartic journey that followed has led to this second edition of the tarot deck, featuring blush pink details, symbolising cherry blossoms and the hope and renewal these are associated with - a progression from grief to healing.
The imagery itself is based on the traditional Rider Waite Smith, so easy to read for tarot beginners and learners. It is minimalist, calm yet powerful and aims to inspire creativity and self-expression. Heidi says: "Use it as a tool to reflect on what is, and dream about what could be—whether you’re putting pen to paper, fingers to keyboard, stylus to screen, brush to canvas, or ingredients to cutting board."
The deck comes with its own 68 page guide book within the two part decorated box. The cards measure 2.75" x 4.75" and are printed on 330gsm smooth matte cardstock with a dainty floral design on the backs.
