Tarot purists and boomers, look away now. This deck is a modern take on the traditional wisdom of the cards. The Millennial Tarot is billed as "78 cards for the journey of adulting, because the struggle is real".
Each card has a collage style artwork depicting either major or minor arcana, with the traditional name for each card, but alongside that, you'll find the Millennial translation, for example, The Tower is labelled The Dumpster Fire, and the Magician is The Tech Visionary.
In the minor arcana, the five of wands becomes Frenemies, and the eight, Literally Obsessed. Amusingly, the ten of swords is just labelled Can't Even... The Knight of Wands becomes Life Coach and the king of swords becomes the Grown-Ass Man. There are also smaller key words and symbols to help with interpretation (although a pdf guidebook is available via QR code).
The creator of this deck adds: "The deck also includes trigger-free language, making it accessible and safe for all users. The imagery in the cards showcases LGBTQIA, multi-racial, body size, and accessibility diversity, reflecting the beauty and diversity of the Millennial generation."
The cards come in a glossy tuck box, the card size is 3.5 x 5.5" - on the larger size - and the card stock is matte, mass-market-esque, so not edged etc.
